Auction news roundup: Developments at IAA, plus ‘Guitars & Cars’ headliner announced

IAA has added a new director to its board, the company said Friday, and also launched an operations committee, which it said will be tasked with “driving operational performance.” Additionally, the company said it has come to a “constructive resolution” with Ancora Holdings, LLC, one of the company’s stockholders, but no further details were provided in the news release regarding that resolution. Advanced Business Computers of America (ABCoA) recently rolled out its latest software solution for dealerships and subprime auto finance companies. ABCoA added a proprietary funding portal to its ecosystem within cyclCRM, a customer relationship management solution built specifically for the buy-here, pay-here industry. Buckeye adds seasoned insurance exec to sales team

The provider of reinsurance services, education and consulting, and performance groups for independent dealers named Stephen Carter as a new sales representative. 4 straight weeks of falling wholesale car prices in Canada

Untether, GM partner to develop AI perception systems for autonomous vehicles

Untether AI, which describes itself as “the leader in at-memory computation for artificial intelligence inference acceleration,” has teamed up with General Motors to develop AI perception systems for autonomous vehicles. Emphasizing that perception systems are integral to autonomous vehicles, Untether AI said it will collaborate with GM on demonstrating an AV perception system based on the company’s at-memory computation technology.
