Copart elevates Liaw to be co-CEO

On Wednesday, Copart announced that its board of directors has appointed Jeff Liaw, who has been serving as president and chief executive officer North America, to be co-CEO in a move that’s effective on Friday. According to a news release, Copart said Jay Adair will continue his leadership of the company as co-CEO and as a member of the board of directors. The company recapped that Liaw joined Copart in 2016 as chief financial officer and was promoted to president in 2019. Axis names new board member

The Canadian fintech company said Thursday it has named JM Holdings Corp. founder and chief executive officer Jim Nikopoulos to the board. Nikopoulos will replace Gerry Thom, who has retired from the position. IAA makes moves in 3 countries

Along with recently broadening its foreign enterprise in Africa and Central America, IAA on Wednesday announced the domestic expansion of branches in Iowa and Illinois. According to a news release, capacity has doubled at the IAA Des Moines branch and IAA St. Louis has increased capacity by approximately 30%. Honda, Acura expand CPO vehicle age eligibility to 10 years

While auto remains small part of complaint database, CFPB hunting for ‘repeat offenders’ within financial services

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau database indicated that the agency received 527,243 consumer complaints during the 12-month span that closed on Feb. 28.
