Advocates point to spike in CFPB complaint database to open National Consumer Protection Week

CARY, N.C. –  Consumer advocates and other regulators began National Consumer Protection Week on Monday in part by pointing to the significant jump in cases recorded in the complaint database housed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. According to the CFPB’s online dashboard, complaints in 2020 came in at 443,143; that’s up from the 206,607 complaints registered in 2019. Past NIADA/Cox Automotive scholarship recipient receives similar accolade from AFIP

COLLEYVILLE, Texas –  The Association of Finance & Insurance Professionals (AFIP) recently gave out the Jakob Murray Lange Memorial Scholarship that recognizes a Northwood University student for exemplary work during an internship the previous summer. Receiving the financial award along with a marble obelisk in recognition of her achievement was Chelsea Mallams, a Northwood University senior majoring in automotive marketing and management. Mallams interned at Art Moran Buick GMC Mitsubishi in Southfield, Mich., last year. She is on Northwood University’s Dean’s List with a 3.8 cumulative GPA. RideKleen, Uber to expand partnership to 12 more markets

Monday, Mar. 01, 2021, 07:01 AM ATLANTA  –  RideKleen, a mobile vehicle care provider that’s part of the Cox Automotive Mobility Group, is expanding its partnership with Uber. The two companies had piloted a vehicle sanitation and maintenance program for five months in Atlanta and Phoenix, and will now bring it to 12 new markets in the coming months, Cox Automotive said Monday.
